Firefly plenary talk at Unreasonable Alchemy 26
Recently, James Hygate OBE Hygate, Co-Founder and CEO of Firefly, took the plenary stage at Unreasonable Alchemy to share Firefly’s vision for the future of decarbonised flight.
His message was clear:
We know how to make SAF from sewage. The challenge now is scaling it.
How do we produce enough, quickly enough, and at a cost airlines can afford?
At Firefly, we believe the answer lies in thinking beyond fuel production and building a new model of infrastructure that connects waste, energy, aviation and the circular economy.
Our first commercial-scale facility in Harwich, UK, will be the blueprint for that model, demonstrating how our technology can be deployed and then replicated across markets around the world.
