Firefly take home win at Aviation Industry Awards UK

Firefly take home ‘Aviation Innovation Award’ at fantastic event in Birmingham.

18 Sept 2024 – Yesterday evening the Firefly team headed to Birmingham’s NCC for the inaugural Aviation Industry Awards ceremony.

The well-organised event was a huge success for the team, with Firefly taking home the ‘Aviation Innovation Award’ for their novel sewage-to-SAF technology.

Firefly’s innovative process that transforms biosolids into highly sustainable SAF was front-and-centre and garnered a huge amount of interest on the night, blowing the judges away.

The team are hugely grateful to the awards team Awards for organising a very memorable evening.
